Fun for Kidz – This children’s magazine is for boys and girls from 6 to 13 with a target age around 10. They publish 6 issues a year and each is based on a theme. This year’s include Families, Bugs, Water, Other Cultures, and Night Creatures. Ideal length is 300-325 words for nonfiction and 600-650 words for fiction.

Cicada Magazine – Cicada is a literary magazine for ages 14 and up. They are accepting fiction (SF/fantasy, realism, historical fiction), from flash fiction to novellas up to 9,000 words, and nonfiction (narrative and essays), up to 5,000 words. They are also looking for poetry of any length and comics. Pay for stories and articles is up to 25¢ per word, and poems up to $3.00 per line with a $25 minimum.
