Good morning! This cold is really kicking my butt so I’ve skipped the calls for submissions section of my list today. There are still lots of freelance / work from home writing jobs open to writers anywhere and a few in-house opportunities for my fellow Canadians on the list.

Remote Writing Jobs (Work from Home Writing Jobs)

HOCKEY CONTENT WRITER – Growth Engine is looking for freelance writers to write hockey-related web content for their client’s blog. You should be passionate about hockey and know what’s happening in the world of hockey and the NHL. A digital background and SEO experience is a plus. Read more/apply

FREELANCE WRITERS – Pagely is hiring accomplished freelance writers to contribute to their blog. Their audience consists of CXO’s, VP;s, Director’s and Engineers from businesses, non-profits, education, and government spaces so you should have experience writing about relevant topics. FREELANCE CELEBRITY WRITERS – NickiSwift.com is looking for freelance writers with at least 2 years of experience to cover celebrity and entertainment topics. These are flexible  work from home writing jobs for writers who have experience building content in CMS (WordPress preferred), the ability to meet strict deadlines, and follow their style guide and adapt writing to the unique Nicki Swift voice. Read more/apply

FASHION & BEAUTY WRITERS – Bustle Digital Group is hiring remote, part-time writers to cover fashion and beauty news, features, how-tos, and more. You should have at least 2 years of writing experience and be able to work remotely six hours a day, at least two days per week. Read more/apply

You should have at least 2 years of experience in reporting, writing, and/or blogging, specializing in celebrity content. This is a work from home writing job for bloggers with a strong understanding of how blog content differs from other writing. Canadian Writing Jobs (On-site Writing Jobs in Canada)

JUNIOR WRITER – ThinkResearch in Toronto, Ontario is looking for an experience writer with a 4 year Honours Degree in a relevant field. You must have strong writing skills and work fast and efficiently even under the pressure of a tight deadline. Knowledge of healthcare systems and medical terminology is a plus. Read more/apply

FILM WRITER – Theo Films in Toronto, Ontario is looking for a writer interested and specialized in the thrillers/science fiction genre to drive the second draft of a script. The film is in development phase (Telefilm Canada Development fund). You should have representation in Canada or USA and 3-5 years’ experience in the film/TV industry with one feature film or TV series credits (theatrically released or aired on cable TV in North America).
