Canadian Writing Jobs (On-Site Writing Jobs in Canada)
IN-HOUSE COPYEDITOR – JMIR Publications is looking for an experienced in-house copyeditor to work full-time in their Toronto, Ontario office. Pay for an experienced copyeditor is $45 to $70K. You must have a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of scientific copyediting experience. Familiarity with AMA Style and statistic reporting is also required. Read more/apply
DIGITAL MARKETER / SNARKY CREATIVE WRITER – HR.com is looking for a snarky writer to work from home, but be close to their office in Summerside, PEI. Duties include writing emails, landing pages, social media posts, and other content writing to help define the HR.com brand. Read more/apply
DIGITAL CONTENT WRITER – Partnership Against Cancer is looking for a digital content writer to work as an independent contractor for one year. The job requires approximately 40 hours per week and while you can work remotely, you need to be able to attend key meetings in Toronto, Ontario. You must have at least 5 to 7 years working as a digital writer, preferably in the health or public sectors. Calls for Submissions
ALBEDO ONE and ALBEDOR 2.0 – Both are open to Sci-Fi, horror, and fantasy submissions that push at the boundaries or crosses between genres. Preferred length is between 2,500 and 8,000 words. They are also looking for interviews with high profile authors and media personalities, as well as for book reviews. They also encourage you to enter their writing competition, the International Aeon Award Short Fiction Contest with a grand prize of €1000 euro.

PEDESTAL MAGAZINE – They are looking for speculative poetry, which includes Sci-Fi, fantasy, supernatural horror, experimental, and surrealism, for their June 2018 issue. You may send up to 4 poems in a single file. Payment is $40 per accepted poem.
