Apologies for not posting a list these past couple of days, but I’ve been a busy gal with deadlines to meet. Such is the life as a freelance writer and I’m not complaining one bit!

Today’s list of paid writing opportunities has freelance, work from home writing jobs open to writers anywhere in the world. It also includes some great opportunities for my fellow Canadians who are looking for on-site writing positions. There’s also an opportunity for those looking for a place to submit their short fiction or narrative nonfiction.

Remote Writing Jobs (Work-from-Home / Online Writing Jobs)

HAIR EXPERTS / WRITERS FOR HAIRSTYLE MAGAZINE – The Right Hairstyles Magazine is hiring hair experts to write about hair-related topics. These are flexible, work-from-home writing jobs for people who have experience working in a salon or related field. They’re also always looking for hair bloggers and guest posts. Read more/apply

FREELANCE SCRIPT WRITER – Filmless is looking for flexible, creative freelance copywriters to write, edit and review vide scripts. This is a remote writing job for an experienced writer who is able to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure. You must own a Mac or a Windows-based PC or laptop. Read more/apply

This work from home writing job is ideal for experienced writers who are fluent in spoken and written English with experience writing snappy blog posts and product copy. Canadian Writing Jobs (On-Site Writing Jobs in Canada)

FREELANCE WRITER – KamloopsCoupons.ca is hiring a freelance editorial / blog / deal writer. To be considered for this Canadian freelance writing job you must be able to attend regular meeting in Kamloops, BC. Calls for Submissions

The Masters Review Anthology Prize – The Masters Review is an online and print publication. They are currently open to submissions for their anthology which features ten stories or essays by emerging authors. They’re looking for fiction and narrative nonfiction with a maximum of 8,000 words. International submissions are welcomed. Only previously unpublished work will be considered. There is a $20 reading fee per story. Prize is $5,000.

Their New Voices category is open year round to new and emerging authors who have not published a work of fiction or narrative nonfiction of novel length, though authors with published shorty story collections are free to submit. Payment is 10 cents per word up to $200. There is no reading / submission fee for this category.
