Canadian Writing Jobs (On-Site Writing Jobs in Canada)
PRODUCT COPYWRITER – Groupe Dynamite Inc. is hiring a full-time product copywriter in Montreal, Quebec. The copywriter will write, edit and enhance product descriptions for dynamite.ca and garage.ca. To be considered for this Canadian copywriting job, you must have a university degree in marketing or a related field, 2-3 years of experience writing for print or online publications, and be bilingual in written and spoken French and English. Calls for Submissions
ELLERY QUEEN’S MYSTERY MAGAZINE – EQMM welcomes mystery story submissions from new and established writers. They’re open to stories of just about every length, but 2,500 to 8,000 words is the preferred range. Shorter stories are also considered, including minute mysteries of as little as 250 words. Payment ranges from 5 to 8 cents per word, though it can be higher for established writers.

ALFRED HITCHCOCK’S MYSTERY MAGAZINE – new and established authors are welcome to submit. Stories must fall into the mystery genre in some sense or another to be considered. They’re open to nearly every kind of mystery, such as police procedurals, private eye tales, stories of detection of the classic kind, courtroom dramas, espionage, etc. They only ask that the story be about a crime of the threat or fear of one. They pay 5 to 8 cents per word, sometimes higher for established authors.
