HEROIC FANTASY QUARTERLY – This eZine is open to submissions of heroic fantasy fiction and poetry. Fiction can be up to 10,000 words and they are willing to serialize at a max of 50,000 words. You may submit up to 3 poems with a cumulative maximum of 30 pages. They pay $100 for stories and $25 for poems upon publication.

CLARKESWORLD MAGAZINE – This award-winning science fiction and fantasy magazine is accepting short stories, interviews and articles. Fiction should be between 1,000 to 16,000 words and is paid at 10 cents per word for the first 5,000 words, and 8 cents for each word over 5,000. For nonfiction, they accept articles of interest to readers of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror, including discussions on the genre publishing business, essays on the writing process, and more. Pay is 10 cents per word. Max length of 2,500 for nonfiction.
