Yeah, I’m a bad blogger and for that I apologize. Again. 

Packing for a move and freelancing is hard work! Will do my best to post a regular list of writing jobs and will continue to share job posts that are sent my way. Promise!

Today’s list of writing jobs includes online writing jobs for writers anywhere, including a couple of freelance writing jobs for beginners. I’ve also included some Canadian writing opportunities and one in particular that was sent to me by Social Capital Partners in Toronto that sounds amazing for a writer in the GTA that’s looking for a great salary and benefits, but the flexibility to still pursue other writing opportunities on the side. They’re definitely down with the side hustle, which is a perk for any freelance writer!

Remote Writing Jobs (Work-From-Home / Online Writing Jobs)

SEX & DATING WRITERS – Elite Daily is hiring remote writers to cover all things sex and dating and no topic is off-limits. You should be more than comfortable writing about sex and able to cover everything from dating trends to “taboo” sex topics, like peeing the bed after a hookup. Your voice should be relatable and conversational and you must be available to work 3-4, seven hour shifts during business hours, Monday to Friday. You must have 2+ years of writing experience with a focus on reporting and interviewing experts, a BA in a writing-related field, knowledge of AP style and SEO strategies. WRESTING WRITER – TheSportster.com is hiring a writer to contribute list-based articles. The site gets over 12 million monthly views. They offer a “competitive open-ended payment plan” that is pay-per-view. Probably okay for those looking for freelance writing jobs for beginners who want to build a portfolio and a following of readers, especially if you’re interested in the wrestling niche. You’ll need to pitch 3 articles that you think would be a good fit on TheSportser and include writing samples to be considered for this remote writing job. Read more/apply

You should have 7+ years of experience on the agency and/or client side, a portfolio that shows your ability to tackle complex topics across multiple channels, and a B.A.. This is a remote / work-from-home writing job. The pay for each page (550-700 words) starts at $20-$25 and is commensurate with experience. You should have SEO experience and strong research skills. Canadian Writing Jobs (On-Site Jobs for Writers in Canada ONLY)

FREELANCE JOURNALIST (IN-HOUSE) – Social Capital Partners, located in Toronto, Ontario, is hiring a mid-career freelance journalist to work in-house 3-4 days per week. Salary is $45K to 65K and they offer paid vacation, and family medical and dental insurance. Tasks will involve creating compelling stories, blogs, articles, op-eds, and policy-related position papers. You’re free to pursue other freelance writing opportunities during non-office time, too. You must have a diploma in a relevant field and two years of relevant work experience.
