Today’s list is another meaty one with work-from-home writing jobs for writers anywhere in the world and some great on-site Canadian writing jobs for my fellow canucks. There are also a couple of calls for submissions for short stories and more. Good luck!

Remote Writing Jobs (Work-From-Home / Online Writing Jobs)

DAILY CONTRACT FREELANCE WRITER – Ranker is hiring talented freelance writers to research and write 3 articles/lists a day, 5 days a week as assigned by editors. These are remote writing jobs that allow you to work from home. Pay is per article and based on the length of the assignment and research required. You must have similar freelance writing experience, advanced research and writing skills, and proven ability turning around high volume content on deadline. Read more/apply

MEDICAL WRITERS – ViralMD is hiring medical writers to cover women’s health, fertility, and other health and medical topics. Articles will range from 350 to 500 words and you should be able to write a minimum of 3 articles each week. Pay is $30 per article. (Perhaps best suited to those looking for writing jobs for beginners who want to build their portfolio and get experience in the niche). Read more/apply

FREELANCE CONTENT WRITERS – Movers.com is looking to hire freelance content writers to write a variety of content including how-to articles and guides, infographics, and eBooks on topics related to relocation and moving, such as real estate, home improvement, and more. You must have 1-3 years of experience in content creation and content management, digital marketing, and SEO. Read more/apply

DATING GHOSTWRITERS – Virtual Dating Assistants (VIDA) is hiring dating ghostwriters to write dating profiles and messages for their clients who are looking for love on various dating sites and apps. The pay ranges from US $13 – $17 per hour. These are online writing jobs that allow you to write from home. You should have a good sense of humor and top-notch writing skills to be considered. NEWS WRITER AND REPORTER – Endpoints News is hiring an experienced news writer to contribute breaking biopharma news articles as assigned by editors. This is a remote writing job for an experienced writer with proven business reporting and writing chops. You must be able to turn around great copy on a tight deadline. Read more/apply

HEALTHCARE CONTENT WRITER – LiveWorld is hiring a content writer for their healthcare division. This is a remote writing job / contract role for 35 hours per month. Pay is $35 to $40 per hour. You must be able to create compelling content and find/develop images and infographics. Pharma experience is preferred but not necessary, but you must be comfortable with technical content and able to understand medical conditions. Read more/apply

ANIME CONTENT WRITERS – Ranker is hiring anime content writers. These are remote writing jobs that entail writing clear informative and fun content related to current and older anime. Canadian Writing Jobs (On-Site Jobs for Writers in Canada ONLY)

CONTENT WRITER – LinkNow Media is hiring a freelance content writer to work in their office located in Montreal, Quebec. The pay is $35,000 to $42,000 per year. An excellent command of the English language (written and spoken) is required, along with keyword placement and SEO knowledge, and strong research skills. You will be required to submit a sample on one of the topics listed in the original job posting to be considered for this Canadian writing job. Read more/apply

SENIOR COPYWRITER AND CONTENT MARKETER – PAI Health is looking for a senior copywriter to work in their Vancouver, British Columbia office. They’re looking for a versatile and creative communicator able to translate abstract concepts into compelling written and visual narratives, including blog posts, press releases, email campaigns, marketing collateral, and more. You must have a BA or college degree in Marketing or Communications, 5 or more years of relevant writing and content development experience, 3 years digital marketing and 1 year B2B marketing experience. JUNIOR WRITER – Target Marketing located in St. John’s, Newfoundland is hiring a junior writer with at least 2 years of experience. You’ll be expected to come up with great ideas and work on everything from TV and radio to print and digital content. Read more/apply

WEB CONTENT EDITOR – Home Depot Canada is hiring a full-time web content editor to plan, create, organize, edit, and structure content for their online initiatives. You must have a BA or degree in Marketing or English and/or 3 – 5 years of web editing experience, SEO experience, and some technical knowledge of various web platforms to be considered for this Canadian writing job. Calls for Submissions

CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL: STORIES ABOUT MY MOM. The popular anthology series is looking for stories and poems written by daughters and sons of all ages about their moms, stepmoms, or anyone that is like a mom to you. They want stories that will make readers laugh, cry, or nod in recognition. They’re looking for specific anecdotes about you and your mom – not tributes or biographies. Speak from the heart. Keep the story to 1,200 words or less. Deadline is September 30th for this one, but they have other calls open so be sure to check them out. Pay is $200.

LESS THAN THREE – LIFE AFTER ALL ANTHOLOGY. According to their website, this is an “apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic/pastoral apocalyptic LGBTQIA+ anthology”. They’re looking for stories about life after the end of the world that are far from bleak and hopeless. Deadline is September 30th. Stories should be at least 8,000 words but not exceed 15,000 words and must be about a post-apocalyptic society with a HEA or HFN end. Any subgenre is accepted: sci-fi, contemporary, mystery, etc. Payment is $150 on signed contract, plus one copy of the eBook and two paperback.
