Another insane week in my work life and otherwise, but I’ll try to post a daily list even if coffee red nails writingjobscanada just a short one. That said – today’s list is a pretty good one because I wanted to make up for not posting yesterday. I guess I’m just nice like that. *wink*

Today’s list includes a bunch of online writing jobs for writers anywhere who want to work from home and some great onsite writing jobs across Canada for my fellow Canadian writers.

Remote Writing Jobs (Online / Work-from-Home Writing Jobs)

SCIENCE / MEDICAL WRITER – Greenfly Marketing is looking to fill a freelance remote writing position. They’re looking for a writer with a medical or science background to write blog articles on health conditions related to smoking and vaping. Perfect English and writing skills are required. FREELANCE COPYWRITERS – PatientPop is hiring freelance writers to produce marketing content across several health care specialities. You must have experience writing web content, specifically for mobile. Other requirements include understanding and execution of AP Style, SEO, and a conversational writing style. SEO CONTENT WRITER – Content Motive is hiring a freelance SEO content writer to research and write SEO articles related to the automotive industry. This is a remote writing job that pays per article. FITNESS WRITER – Athletic Muscle is hiring an experienced fitness writer who has written about supplements, CrossFit training, mobility, nutrition, and more. They’re not looking for fluff content – informative, valuable content that also entertains the reader is what they’re after. Writing includes how-to guides, tutorials, reviews, etc. Read more/apply

ACADEMIC WRITER – Opus Education is hiring reliable, competent academic writers to join their team. These are remote writing jobs for university graduates with extensive academic writing experience. Strict adherence to deadlines and proper formatting and citation, including APA and MLA, required. Pay ranges from $20 to $40 per 300 words on an assignment-by-assignment basis. Read more/apply

TRAVEL WRITER – TheTravel.com is hiring a freelance travel writing to contribute articles on all things travel, including food, destinations, tips, hotels, and more. This is a remote writing job for someone who is on top of their social media game and able to write sharable, clickable, copy. From the feedback I’ve received from other writers, this company’s pay may be better suited to those looking for freelance writing jobs for beginners / freshers who are looking to gain more experience or build a portfolio in the niche. Canadian Writing Jobs (Onsite Jobs for Writers in Canada ONLY)

NEWS WRITER – CHCH TV is hiring a part-time news writer to work in Hamilton, Ontario. Duties will include researching and writing news copy for broadcast and digital platforms, monitoring social media and news feeds, etc.. You must have at least 6 months of news writing and production experience and be able to work various shifts. Familiarity with newsmakers and current events of Hamilton, Niagara, and Halton are an asset. Driver’s license with clean record also required. Read more/apply

SPORTS WRITER/PHOTOGRAPHER – The North Bay Nugget in North Bay, Ontario is hiring freelance sports writers and photographers who thrives on deadlines and has proven interviewing, writing, and photography skills. You should also enjoy sports games, naturally. Read more/apply

FEMALE PINTEREST EXPERT WRITER – Mango Rabbit in Vaughan, Ontario is hiring a writer to cover beauty and fashion who also knows her way around Pinterest. They specify they’re looking for a female writer in their job posting – so please don’t shoot the messenger! 😉 Pay is $15 to $18 per hour and you must have your own car and laptop. It’s a remote writing job but you need to be able to drive to their location at Major Mac and Dufferin. Experience with Tailwind also required for this Canadian writing job. Read more/apply

CONTENT WRITER / EDITOR – ChatterHigh Communications Inc, located in Victoria, British Columbia, is hiring a content writer to create and edit quizzes for their students. To be considered for this Canadian writing job, you should have a passion for education, personal laptop, and excellent writing and editing skills.
