Back as promised with another list of writing job leads. It’s basically the middle of the night here, but getting up at holy-crap-o’clock seems to be the best way to get this list posted before getting on with my writing assignments. Today’s list of writing gigs includes online writing jobs for writers located anywhere, onsite writing jobs for my fellow Canadians, and a call for submissions.

Remote Writing Jobs (Work-from-Home / Online Writing Jobs)

COMMERCE WRITERS – Bustle Digital Group is hiring part-time remote commerce writers to create affiliate content about beauty, health, home, lifestyle, and sex and relationships for all their digital properties (Bustle, Elite Daily, and Romper). You should have 3+ years’ experience writing for online or print, ideally in beauty, lifestyle, or tech, and be able to work remotely 2-3 days per week. Read more/apply

FREELANCE WRITERS – ShoutVox is hiring freelance writers for content on a wide range of topics, from tech and finance to entertainment and pop culture. These are online writing jobs so you can work from anywhere. Must have a reliable internet connection and basic research skills. Pay is $0.06 per word. Ad claims this averages $18-$30 per hour. iPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY WRITERS – iPhone Photography School is hiring writers to write iPhone photography tutorials. You must be an expert iPhone photographer and writer to be considered for one of these remote writing jobs. Pay is 10¢ per word and $2 per image. You can write as much as you want. You should have a vast portfolio of iPhone photography and be a native English speaker. *Good opportunity for those looking for exposure for their photography and writing. Read more/apply

FREELANCE SCRIPT WRITER – Filmless is looking for flexible, creative freelance copywriters to write, edit and review video scripts. This is a remote writing job for an experienced writer who is able to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure. You must own a Mac or a Windows-based PC or laptop. Read more/apply

FREELANCE COPYWRITER/BLOGGER – Red Leaf Media is hiring a remote freelance copywriter / blogger with at least 4 years’ experience, preferably agency, with some B2B exposure. The pay is $20 to $30 per hour for this contract, freelance writing job. Read more/apply

ARTICLE WRITERS (ADDICTION TOPICS) – An addiction center website is hiring writers to create well-written, polished articles on topics related to substance abuse and treatment. The pay is $100 per article. They are requesting a 200-word sample on heroin addiction when you apply. Read more/apply

WRITERS FOR LITERARY SUMMARY GUIDES – SuperSummary is looking for freelance writers with an advanced degree in academic writing, a background in literature, the sciences, or humanities, or former or current teachers to write literature study guides of 10,000 to 12,000 words. Canadian Writing Jobs (Onsite Jobs for Writers in Canada ONLY)

CREATIVE WRITER – Corus Entertainment is hiring an experienced, full-time creative writer to work in Edmonton, AB. Job entails creating radio ads for a diverse client base, advertising and promotional campaigns, and more. You must have 5+ years’ experience in major market radio copywriting. Read more/apply

CONTENT WRITER – Rank Media Agency is hiring an experienced copywriter to work in their Montreal, QC office. Pay range is $36,000 to $40,000 per year. You must be skilled in web content writing, blogs, articles and social media posts, and interviewing and possess a BA or BFA in Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Read more/apply

DIGITAL WRITER (REPORTER/EDITOR) – CBC / Radio Canada is hiring an experienced, full-time digital writer to work in Toronto, ON to chase stories, interview sources, and create content. Calls for Submission

Chicken Soup for the Soul – Running for Good – and Walking Too! – The popular series is looking for submissions for a book about running and walking. They want true stories or poems of 1200 words or less about all aspects of running and walking, and steps to raise awareness of and funds for a cause. Stories can be funny and quirky, or they can be serious and heartwarming. Deadline is February 15, 2019. Pay is $200 plus ten copies.
