I couldn’t find many leads worth sharing yesterday, but am making up for it today with a little something for everyone.

Today’s list of writing jobs features online writing jobs for celebrity and entertainment writers, medical and health writers, and more. For my fellow canucks I’ve got a mix of remote and in-house Canadian writing jobs. To round the list out I’ve also included a call for submissions for poetry and prose.

FREELANCE MOVIES AND TV WRITERS – Looper is hiring freelance writers with at least 1 year of experience writing content for print or web with a focus on movie, television, and comic book content. FREELANCE CREDIT CARD WRITER – Motley Fool is looking for a credit card expert to join the Ascent team. This is a freelance online writing job that involves writing credit card reviews and informative, consumer-facing articles on credit cards and related topics such as credit scores, debt management, how to maximize rewards, etc.. Knowledge of digital content and SEO best practices, basic math skills, and 5+ years’ experience writing on personal finance, with previous publishing credits required. Read more/apply

HEALTH & WELLNESS WRITERS – Health Digest is looking for freelance writers to research, pitch, and write 1800 to 3000-word articles in custom CMS. You must have at least 3 years of experience writing content for print or the web with a focus on health and wellness content similar to Health Digest. FREELANCE MEDICAL WRITER – STATinMED, a research consultancy serving corporations in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries, is hiring experienced medical writers for remote freelance work on research manuscripts for peer-reviewed journal submission. Minimum requirements include a BS in life sciences (advanced degrees strongly preferred) and 5 years of medical writing experience, including publication history within related fields. FREELANCE CORPORATE EVENTS CREATIVE COPYWRITER – Spacehuntr is hiring an expert international events writer to cover a wide range of topics, including corporate events in general. This freelance online writing job requires that you have at least 2+ years writing experience and events industry writing samples. Canadian Writing Jobs (Jobs for Writers in Canada ONLY)

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATOR /BLOGGER – Alberta Hardwood Flooring, in Calgary, AB is looking for a Calgary blogger and/or content creator to generate stories around our products and services. This Canadian writing job requires excellent PR writing skills and the ability to take still and video captures with your own DSLR camera. Read more/apply

ADVERTISING COPYWRITER – Loft17 Creative Inc.in Waterloo, ON is looking for a freelance advertising/product copywriter to create content for a range of clients. You should have experience in copywriting and copyediting for web, social media, print, digital advertising etc. and an understanding and efficient use of different blogging and social media platforms. CONTENT WRITER – Accountor CPA in Toronto, ON is looking for a remote full-time SEO copywriter who’s able to deliver the content on a weekly basis, including articles with sourced images that you upload to WordPress. FREELANCE COPYWRITER – Detale Design in Toronto, ON is looking for a remote freelance creative copywriter for various projects, including traditional and digital marketing and communication, website contents, online and social media posts, etc. You must have a minimum of 2 years of related work experience necessary to contribute to a broad range of client copy requirements and adapt style to reflect client-specific tones. Call For Submissions

RATTLE – A publication of the Rattle Foundation, Rattle published unsolicited poetry and translations of poetry. You can submit year-round and simultaneous submissions are encouraged.

Contributors to the print magazine receive $200 and a complimentary one-year subscription.

Poems for “Online Only” categories receive $100.

All submissions are automatically considered for the annual Neil Postman Award for Metaphor, a $2,000 prize judged by the editors.

Separate from general and themed (and always free) submissions, we also offer the annual $10,000 Rattle Poetry Prize and the Rattle Chapbook Prize—for each of those, a submission fee of $25 includes a one-year subscription to the magazine.
